The “Mirrors to the World” Collection
From inspiration to the finishing touch
There's a certain magic in bringing an idea to life. It all begins as a whisper, a fleeting moment of inspiration—sometimes born from a place I've visited, a texture brushed with my fingertips, or a scent that transports me to another time. I love this delicate dance between memory, matter, and imagination.
As I prepare the launch of my “Mirrors to the World” collection, I reveal here the sources of my inspiration born from the meeting of two worlds: Mexico and the Ivory Coast.
The Spark of Inspiration
The beginnings of this collection date back to the Covid era. I remember it as if it were yesterday: every day we were inundated with tragic news from all corners of the world. The lockdown. I often told myself how fragile we human beings are… We needed to escape, recharge our batteries, and maintain hope.
A few countries remained open for unrestricted travel, so we flew in. Located in the Caribbean, the Yucatán Peninsula is about 800 km as the crow flies from my homeland, and it felt like home… Here we are in Mexico.
The warmth of the Yucatán enveloped me like an old friend rediscovered. There, every breath of air carried the whispers of ancient Mayan civilizations. The cenotes, those natural wells of captivating beauty, reflected the sky with an almost unreal clarity, inspiring the idea of mirrors that would not be simple objects, but true portals to another world. The rough textures of the stones, the geometric patterns of the temples, and the filtered light of the jungle etched themselves within me, breathing a living energy into my future creations.

An Echo from West Africa
But this collection could not be complete without the imprint of Côte d'Ivoire, a land of deep heritage and refined art. There, cowries are not simple shells, but sacred symbols of prosperity and spirituality. The golden details of my mirrors pay homage to the Baoulé weights, witnesses of ancestral know-how and a timeless aesthetic.
These two worlds, although separated by oceans, interact in my creations. The Yucatan brings light, raw forms, and memories of untamed nature. The Ivory Coast, meanwhile, offers its soul through its symbols, traditions, and deep sense of spiritual beauty.

The Final Touch: An Inner Journey
Each mirror in the “Mirrors to the World” collection is an invitation to explore not only its reflection, but also its history, roots, and dreams. The natural ropes recall the ancestral fishing nets of the Yucatan, while the cowrie shells and Ivorian pendants tell stories of inner wealth and protection.
More than a glass surface, these mirrors are an invitation—to pause, to look, to see beyond the physical. In these quiet moments when we stand before our reflection, we are not just observing ourselves; we are beginning a conversation with what we are, what we have been, and what we are becoming.
Each frame I weave or craft is intended to offer you a space, to offer much more than a simple reflection of light and form. It is a tool for self-reflection, to honor the presence of the Self.
The Art of Testing and Refining
I believe beauty should never compromise quality. So, I test. Again and again. I pay close attention to details few will notice—because I know true craftsmanship can be felt, even if it isn't always visible. Sometimes that means starting from scratch. It requires patience, which I don't have 😊 but strive to have in the pursuit of inner peace. It means believing that every extra effort is worth it.
Once satisfied, I refine the final details – the finishes, the packaging, the visual identity, the way the collection will be presented.
I think about the experience of opening a handmade object. This collection—like all the others—is more than just objects. It embodies an atmosphere. A feeling. A story that continues once it leaves my hands and enters your home.

And then?
As I prepare to unveil this collection, I feel both excitement and a touch of apprehension. Each creation carries a piece of me, and sharing it with the world is always a little intimidating. But I also know that my work is meant to be experienced, to find its place in new spaces, to accompany your rituals and moments of tranquility.
I can't wait to reveal it to you!
